Yeah, it's been hard so far. We got the reversal done in November (taking out a loan to do so). We got the first analysis done at about the 5 month mark, and the second at the 7 month mark.
The first semen analysis was really low on everything, way below normal levels. Motility was at 7% (normal being better than 50%).
The second analysis was normal on count and volume... but the motility dropped, and the morphology was still really bad. The motility was less than 1%.
We went to the urologist, and were told that we had zero hope of getting pregnant naturally. He said the only chance we have is IVF (in vitro fertilization) with ICSI (intracytoplasmic sperm injection). Considering it would be at least $10K or more per try it isn't exactly an option.
I've been looking into to alternative therapies, and have Husband on a bunch of supplements that are supposed to help.
I track my cycle, which is extremely regular. Every month when my period comes I can't help but get sad and disappointed.
I guess we'll try a fertility specialist next, but that won't be for a while because it isn't covered by insurance.
